Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) Degree course

BVSc and AH stand for Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. This is a five-year integrated course, with 4.5 years of study and one year of internship. This course is offered by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI).

After BVSc and AH, we have a master’s degree, known as MVSc. MVSc students pursue master’s degrees in a specific area of veterinary science. We can also pursue a Ph.D. if you are interested in teaching and becoming a professor.

The eligibility criteria for BVSc AH candidates are straightforward and are as follows.
10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks obtained from a recognized board in the country.
NEET required, in which Student should appear for the NEET Examination.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SCHOLARSHIP IN BVSC:

• Students studying in Class 10th are eligible to appear for the NTSE exam.
• The scholarship is open to Indian nationals studying in recognized schools in India or abroad.
• Students must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their previous qualifying examination (Class 9th).
• The scholarship examination is conducted in two stages: Stage I is conducted at the state/UT level by the respective State/UT authorities. Students who qualify Stage I are eligible to appear for Stage II, which is conducted by the NCERT.
• Only students studying in Class 10th are eligible for Stage II of the examination.
• The selection is based on merit and performance in both stages of the examination.
• Students must meet certain eligibility criteria set by the State/UT authorities to appear for Stage I of the examination.

BENEFITS OF NTSE SCHOLARSHIP

The NTSE scholarship provides financial assistance to students for their higher studies.
The scholarship amount varies according to the level of education:
– For Class 11th and 12th: INR 1,250 per month.
– For Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses: INR 2,000 per month.
– For Ph.D.: As per UGC norms.

NRI-Seats/NRI-Category

Candidates for admission to BVSc & AH Course under NRI category should read the rules carefully for admission before submitting the application form.

Incorrect /False information may lead to cancellation of admission and the candidate will be liable to face legal action.
The Eligibility for admission under NRI quota seats will be NRI candidates himself/herself or children of NRI.
Sponsorship from NRI relatives other than Father/Mother, First degree or Second Degree,
Sponsorship NRI seats are Available Only Few colleges, Confirm seat status & Eligibility Criteria.
NRI-Tuition Fees depend upon states & college, tuition Fees is 4000 $- to 8000$ per anum.
