The Chamarajanagar institute of medical sciences (An Autonomous Institute of Govt of Karnataka) is registered on 21.03.2013 under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 (Karnataka Act 17 of 1960). The institute is affiliated to RGUHS from 2013 – 2014 onwards with the commitment of educating 150 medical Student every year.
The institute has 42 acres of Land at Yadapura Village in the Survey No.124 of Chamarajanagar taluk. It has got 300 bedded well equipped District Hospital at B. Rachaiah Double Road in the heart of the Chamarajanagar Town. The Institute is started by the Government of Karnataka with intent of serving the population of under developed Border District of Karnataka.
The income of association comprise of Grants / grants-in-aid released from time to time from the State Government, Central Government, any Local Authority, any individual or Body, from Users fund, Collection of fees from the undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, super speciality medical students and from the students of para-medical courses, donation and subscription from public and Non-resident Indians(NRIs).
The income of institute so derived is utilized for achieving the aims and objects of the Institute including in the attached hospital.
