Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College & Hospital, Saharsa was conceived by Lord Buddha Shiksha Pratisthan, a society(Buddhist Minority) registered under Society Registration Act 21 of 1860, Government of Bihar with registration number 033/2002-03

Permission granted by the Medical Council of India and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India vide letter no. MCI- No. MCI-34(41)(E-5)/2019-Med./118766 dated 29-05-2019

Permission:     Renewal of permission (ROP) for session 2020-21 (2nd batch) for MBBS intake of

2475 dated 15.10.2020.

Permission: Renewal of permission (ROP) for session 2021-22 (3rd batch) for MBBS intake of
100 students granted by NMC vide letter no.- NMC/UGR/2020/000180/018597 dated 17.08.2021

The college campus is spread over 30 Acres of land, amidst pristine farmlands in the heart of Kosi region of Bihar. It comprises of a hospital, a separate spacious college building for teaching purpose, accommodation for doctors’ resident and hostels for student and staffs.

The hospital, which has a capacity of over 470 beds, is well equipped with proper instruments in all departments. It has a modern ICU, operation Theaters, Emergency & Casualty Services wih all required facilities. Govt health schemes like DOTs, Malaria, Filaria etc. are also available.

The college building contains Non-Clinical & Para-clinical Depts. The Clinical Depts. are located in Hospital Block. The departments contains their respective Labs, Demonstration Rooms, research labs and as well as Decorated Rich Museum, all of which are spacious and well provided with the required instruments.
